Diana Vreeland ,The Eye Has to Travel
I have now seen this film twice, and I enjoyed it both times tremendously. A wonderful look at her legacy and a treasure of quippy and hyperbolistic catch phrases. This movie actually made it to Tampa, so I had to see it at the historic Tampa Theatre, which made it more fun. I was curious as to who would be in the audience here. No one too stand out ish, me included. I should have worn a turban or something, just to be more...."why don't you???" ( a reference to the film about her columns in Vogue - how she got started).

The Zombies
I was lucky enough to catch The Zombies a couple weeks ago, as they started their North American tour here in Tampa! I have long loved this band and never in a million years did I think I would see them live. They were amazing! Ron Argent was alive all the way on keyboards and singer Colin Blumstone's vocals were so tight and smoothe,I legit thought it was 1962. Yes, they are celebrating 50 YEARS as a band. They played all the jams and I am not ashamed to admit I was the only one standing and dancing to them all.
Best night EVAH!
Here is what I would wear to this show if it were not stock in my shop Vintage ReBelle

White Elephant Exchange in Sarasota!
This Saturday I escaped Tampa and headed south to Sarasota. My initial plan was to hit a garage sale for vintage I had read about on Craigslist, visit The White Elephant, and then stop by the Ringling Museum. I managed two of those three things...Ringling next time!
Here we have The White Elephant Exchange Antique Mall!
This place is a large store that is divided into sections by vendor. I was deeply attracted to this one vendor's little corner - as you can see why! She had a little t.v. that was playing a reel of 50s fashion shows with an announcer making relevant (and corny) commentary in the backround. I loved being transported in time while viewing her lovely displays of vintage Chanel shoes, jewelry and trinkets. Just around the corner were some really lovely dresses and slips. Here's a picture of me with some of my selects draped over my arm. I got a few really cute dresses for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend stopping by this place if you are ever in Sarasota. So charming!
